The Boilermakers and Golden Eagles will continue playing each other until the heat death of the universe.
If any of y’all were worried about not playing Marquette next season, you can rest easy.

Purdue and Marquette played each other in the 1969 NCAA Regional Final, and then didn’t play each other again until the 2017-18 season (which is pretty incredible). Since then the Golden Eagles and Boilermakers have made up for lost time, playing four games, including a match-up in Maui last season.
The Boilermakers are 3-1 all-time against Marquette, their only loss coming in the 2019-2020 season on the road. Matt Painter and his new look crew will have a chance to redeem the ‘19-’20 when the two teams square off in Milwaukee next season.
Both teams will be looking to replace legendary players.
Marquette will be without star guard Tyler Kolek next season. The ‘22-’23 Big East Player of the Year and ‘23-’24 Second Team All-American is second in all-time assists at Marquette. The Boilermakers will be without Ethan Morton and Mason Gillis and will also need to replace Zach Edey, who was also pretty good at times.
It looks like Shaka and Matt like playing against each other. As long as both remain in the fold at their respective schools, this rivalry could continue long term. It’s not often you get to play in a tropical paradise like Milwaukee. I’m sure the Boilers will enjoy the trip.
