A beloved member of the Indianapolis Colts said goodbye Monday.
Two-time Pro Bowl tight end Jack Doyle is calling it a career after nine NFL seasons. The team shared a message from the Doyle to Indianapolis fanbase via their Twitter account.
“Growing up in Indianapolis in the late 90’s/2000’s it was impossible to not be a diehard Colts fan,” Doyle began. “Getting the chance to play 9 seasons for the team I have always and will always cheer for has been a dream come true. It is something that is hard to describe.”

“I now go back to being the fan I have always been and retiring from the great game of football,” the 31-year-old revealed.
“I have a deep love for the game of football. I took pride in playing the game the right way and always leaving everything I had on the field. I have a deep respect for the dedication and commitment it takes to be out there for your teammates. At this time, my body is telling me that is a sacrifice I can no longer make.”
Doyle went on to thank everyone that was a part of his pro football injury, including the amazing Colts fans.

Jack Doyle leaves the game as one of the more reliable TE’s in Colts history. At 6-foot-6, 262 pounds, the Indianapolis native’s contributions went well beyond his pass-catching ability. As his run blocking was amongst the best in the game at his position.
The veteran ranks top 15 in Colts history in catches and receiving touchdowns. And he also stacks up 24th in yards.
Well wishes to Doyle in retirement, and congrats on rock solid NFL career!
