Earlier this week, it was reported that Tom Brady will be in attendance for Peyton Manning’s Hall of Fame induction. On Friday morning, the seven-time Super Bowl champion revealed why he’s taking time out of his schedule to go to Canton, Ohio.
Well, sort of. Brady jokingly said that he’s showing up to Manning’s enshrinement ceremony just to make sure his biggest rival doesn’t make a comeback.
“I just need to make sure he’s really done,” Brady tweeted. “Can’t risk this guy coming back.”
Of course, this isn’t actually why Brady is attending the ceremony this weekend. He has a tremendous amount of respect for Manning and wants to be there in Canton to support him. That being said, this is one of the best tweets we’ve seen from Brady.

Manning was asked about Brady attending his ceremony during Fox’s broadcast of the Hall of Fame Game. The legendary quarterback seems thrilled that Brady is going to be there.
“I’m not sure how my Colts teammates will handle that,” Manning said. “But that means a lot, that he’s taking the time.”
Tom Brady and Peyton Manning went head-to-head in so many instant classics over the past two decades. Even though Brady has the better record in those meetings, there’s still an ongoing debate as to which quarterback is better.
When it’s Brady’s turn to enter the Hall of Fame, we’d like to think Manning will take the time out of his schedule to show up.
