All signs seem to be pointing to the Carson Wentz era coming to an end in Indy.
On Tuesday, Pro Football Focus’ betting vertical shared the top odds for where the gunslinging QB could end up should the Colts indeed decide to move on. And an AFC North team is the favorite per Bovada.
What team will Carson Wentz play for next season?

Outside of the Colts, the Pittsburgh Steelers hold the best odds to land Wentz next season at +350. Followed by the Washington Commanders (+500), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+600) and Denver Broncos (+650).
For the first time since 2004, the Steelers won’t have Ben Roethlisberger on their roster. After 18 NFL seasons, two-time Super Bowl winner Big Ben called it a career.
With no reliable in-house option for the time being, its possible Pittsburgh could look outside of the organization for a bridge QB, if they aren’t able to find their guy in the upcoming draft.

And while Carson Wentz has his critics, he’s a bit reminiscent of young Ben Roethlisberger in some ways. Big, strong, big arm, fights in the pocket and is able to make some plays with his legs when necessary. The Steelers aren’t usually the franchise to make splashy trades or free agent signings.
But if they do look outside their typical avenues, Wentz could be an option.
