Rookie Quarterback Stole Marshawn Lynch's Epic Super Bowl Line

June 13, 2023 by The Spun

KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI – APRIL 27: (L-R) Anthony Richardson poses with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell after being selected fourth overall by the Indianapolis Colts during the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft at Union Station on April 27, 2023 in Kansas City, Missouri. Indianapolis Colts rookie Anthony Richardson channeled his inner Marshawn Lynch for a press conference on Tuesday.

The 21-year-old quarterback kicked off his media availability by quoting Lynch’s famous line, “I’m just here so I won’t get fined.”

Richardson couldn’t hold a straight face for long after delivering the line, immediately cracking up with the rest of the media room.

“I told my mom I was gonna do that,” he added.

Take a look at the hilarious moment here:

“Anthony Richardson’s got jokes,” the Colts Twitter account wrote.

The Colts selected Richardson with the No. 4 overall pick in this year’s draft, trailing only Bryce Young and C.J. Stroud as the quarterback’s taken in the first round. The former Florida signal caller is the most physically impressive quarterback in this year’s draft class, and some have high expectations for his rookie season in Indianapolis.

It’s clear that Richardson has an A+ personality, but can he deliver for the Colts on the field?
