As Jonathan Taylor continues to find a trade partner to leave the Indianapolis Colts, the Miami Dolphins have emerged as the frontrunner. But it looks like they’re not the only team trying to get him.
According to ESPN NFL reporter Stephen Holder, talks with Taylor are expected to “go down to the wire.” Holder also noted that there is believed to be a second team involved in talks beyond the Dolphins.
“Jonathan Taylor update: Talks continue and, as expected, this will go down to the wire,” Holder wrote. “One tidbit: I believe there to be a second team involved beyond the Dolphins, which would certainly change the dynamics.”
There’s tons of speculation as to who the second team might be with the majority of fans suggesting various Super Bowl contenders in the NFC.

But the bigger problem is more likely to be the compensation. The Indianapolis Colts reportedly want a first-round pick or an equivalent package of picks and players to part with the former rushing champion.
So even if Taylor manages to reach personal terms with a team, whether it’s the Dolphins, the Bears, the Eagles, the Rams or someone else entirely, the Colts will have final say over whether it happens.
Where will Taylor play in 2023?
