In the past year the NFL has suspended around a half-dozen players – including wide receivers Calvin Ridley and Jameson Williams – along with one coach and several miscellaneous officials over sports betting.
There have been recent rumors that the NFL is in the midst of one or more allegations of sports betting by other players across the league.
Chances are, this is going to be a recurring issue across the league in the weeks and months to come.
