Colts’ DT Antwaun Woods gets added to the team’s active roster ahead of Sunday’s game against Tennessee.
The Colts have elevated defensive tackle Antwaun Woods to their active roster ahead of Sunday’s matchup against the Tennessee Titans, according to the team. Additionally, Indy also placed linebacker and special teams contributor has been placed on injured reserve.
We have elevated DT Antwaun Woods to the active roster from the practice squad and placed LB Jordan Glasgow on IR.

With Glasgow now on IR, the Colts are going to need to make sure its special teams department continues to perform well. as the sixth-round pick from Michigan has played a large role over the last two seasons within that unit.
Adding Woods is a smart decision for the Colts, as Derrick Henry awaits them going into Week 3.
Henry, who’s rushed for over 1,500 yards in back-to-back seasons, rushed for 182 yards and scored three touchdowns against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2. Stopping ‘King Henry’, as the league calls him, should be the Colts No. 1 priority going into Sunday’s game.
The last time Henry played Indianapolis, he made the No.2-ranked rushing defense look like the worst in the entire NFL, rushing for 178 yards on an average of 6.6 yards per carry while also finding the end zone three times.
It should be noted, though, the Colts were missing DeForest Buckner during that game, which made a major difference in terms of Henry’s success rate. When these two division rivals faced off in Nashville just a few weeks prior the game at Lucas Oil, Buckner was active and played a major role in holding the 6’3” running back to just 103 total rushing yards.
Indy’s defensive line is 100% healthy, but will have its hands full with Henry. So far this season, the Colts’ run defense hasn’t gotten off to a great start, surrendering over 100 yards to Chris Carson in Week 1 and over 100 yards between both Darrell Henderson and Sony Michel last Sunday.
Interestingly enough, the Colts have only allowed an opposing running back to rush for over 100 yards three times since 2018. Henry has been that back each time.
Elevating Woods to the active roster should, if anything else, helps the Colts in trying to slow down the NFL’s leading rusher from just a season ago.
