Philip Rivers and the Indianapolis Colts are set to do battle with Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers this weekend. Heading into that big game, Rivers can’t help but give props to his upcoming opponent for how good he is.
Speaking to the media this week, Rivers spoke glowingly about Rodgers as a passer. But the stat that really stands out to the Colts QB is how Rodgers has managed to limit his interceptions despite being so “aggressive” as a passer.
“The number that stands out to me is how few interceptions he’s had in all these years with as aggressive as he is as a passer,” Rivers said. He called Rodgers “unbelievable” for how good he is.
Few players in NFL history have been as good with the ball as Aaron Rodgers. Since becoming Green Bay’s starter, he has just two seasons with double-digit interceptions, and only two full seasons with an interception percentage above 2-percent.

Rivers, meanwhile, is considerably more risk-prone when he’s throwing the football. He’s led the league in interceptions twice and has only two full seasons where he had less than 10 interceptions. Rivers has only two seasons where his interception percentage was less than 2-percent.
In three meetings between the two star QBs, Rodgers has the edge with two wins to Rivers’ one. They faced off last year with Rivers and the LA Chargers winning 26-11.
Will Rivers be able to even his record against the Rodgers and get a win this weekend?
The game will be played at 4:25 pm EST and will air on FOX.
