The Colts made a huge splash in the 2023 NFL Draft, selecting Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson with the fourth overall pick.
On Friday, the Colts welcomed Richardson to their practice facility for the start of rookie minicamp. It didn’t take long for him to make some noise.
Footage of Richardson’s first pass attempt in practice surfaced on Twitter this afternoon. Let’s just say it has Colts fans buzzing.
Here’s the video of Richardson that’s going viral:

Richardson has all the potential in the world. That’s why Colts general manager Chris Ballard selected him.
“I didn’t want to look up and watch him be a superstar somewhere else,” Ballard said. “If he’s gonna be a superstar, he’s gonna be a superstar for the Colts.”
Like all young quarterbacks, Richardson will need time to develop into a true starter. That doesn’t mean he’ll spend the entire 2023 season watching from the sidelines.
In fact, Colts owner Jim Irsay has already hinted at Richardson starting regular-season games this fall.
