During the latest episode of Barstool Sports’ Macrodosing podcast, former Texans running back Arian Foster joked about the NFL being rigged.
“We were really dedicated to it. So, it was more so like that’s what practice was about — it was about practicing the script,” Foster said. “This is what goes on, this is what we have to do … WWF, so it’s like we know what’s going to happen. You still gotta put on a show.”
These comments from Foster inspired several players to share their best jokes about receiving certain “scripts” while in the NFL.
Cowboys wide receiver T.Y. Hilton decided to join the party on Thursday night. He shared a photo of him and Andrew Luck along with the caption, “12 PLEASE DON’T FOLLOW THE SCRIPT. PLEASE DON’T.”
Luck unfortunately retired from the NFL prior to the start of the 2019 season. To this day, the Colts haven’t recovered from losing the former No. 1 pick.
This tweet from Hilton received 4.5 million views in less than 24 hours.
If there were actually scripts in the NFL, Luck would probably still be the starting quarterback for the Colts.
