The Indianapolis Colts are officially in the quarterback market. On Wednesday afternoon, they traded Carson Wentz to the Washington Commanders for a pair of third-round draft picks.
According to Evan Massey of NFL Analysis Net, Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love is a name to watch for the Colts.
“Jordan Love is a name to watch closely for the Colts at QB,” Massey tweeted. “Chris Ballard tried to get him in the draft, and now they have assets to easily make a deal with the Packers for him.”
Love could have an interesting trade market, especially since the Packers just committed to Aaron Rodgers for the next four seasons.
Even though Love is an intriguing option at quarterback, NFL fans don’t understand why the Colts would think about pursuing him.
“At that point might as well keep Wentz,” one fan said.

“If Ballard trades for Love, you have to fire him,” a third fan tweeted.

In limited action last season, Love had 411 passing yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions.
Love hasn’t shown what he can do yet at the NFL level, but let’s not forget that he’s a former first-round pick because of his arm talent.
Do you think the Colts will pursue Love as their next quarterback?
