The Indianapolis Colts suffered a brutal loss just over a week ago when rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson suffered what is likely a season-ending injury.
Indianapolis followed that up with a loss over the weekend to the Jacksonville Jaguars and fell to 3-3 on the season. Unfortunately the hits kept coming this week.
Veteran defensive lineman Grover Stewart has reportedly been suspended for six games after testing positive for a banned substance.
“Grover Stewart has been suspended without pay by the NFL for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs,” Colts writer Joel Erickson said on X – formerly known as Twitter.

Stewart issued a statement to fans on his Instagram account.
“I want to apologize to the National Football League, the Colts organization, my teammates, our fans, and my family,” he said in the statement. “I was surprised and disappointed to learn I had violated the policy.”
“I respect the integrity of the game and would never purposefully put myself or the team in this kind of situation. I am responsible for what I put in my body and I should have taken the proper steps to educate myself. I will learn from this moving forward and I will take the appropriate measures to ensure this never happens again.”
It’s a tough blow for a Colts team that will face a strong running attack this weekend against the Cleveland Browns.
