In their open letter to the Arizona Cardinals, Kyler Murray and his agent stated that K1 wants to be the team’s long-term quarterback and to win a Super Bowl.
However, after seeing head coach Kliff Kingsbury and GM get contract extensions Wednesday, the mood may have shifted. If Arizona were to not offer Murray an extension, ESPN analyst and former QB Dan Orlovsky offered up five teams who could make a move for the dynamic two-time Pro Bowler.
“So if the [Arizona Cardinals] don’t give Murray the extension soon that he wants—teams that I would expect to inquire about a trade for him,” Orlovsky tweeted. Listing the Broncos, Browns, Eagles, Commanders (and possibly Colts) as options.
So if the @AZCardinals don’t give Murray the extension soon that he wants—teams that I would expect to inquire about a trade for him:

With two years left on his deal, Murray appears to be making the push for a massive payday. Kyler and the Cardinals have steadily improved since his arrival in AZ, but his postseason play and reported questions around the organization about his attitude and leadership caused some friction.
Unquestionably, Kyler is one of the most exciting talents at the quarterback position. But at his size and after getting nicked up the past few seasons, the Cards have their concerns.
(The tone of the letter via his agent also didn’t help matters).
All five teams Orlovsky listed are either in need of a signal-caller, or very soon could be. Imagining Kyler on that loaded Browns roster is a scary thought. But that said, it would be shocking to see the this situation come down to a trade.
Especially after seeing the Cardinals’ trajectory before Kyler Murray.
