During his Hall of Fame NFL career, Marvin Harrison Sr. would rarely say anything about the game – and he still doesn’t to this day. But he’s more than happy to say something a little cryptic on social media.
Taking to Instagram this past weekend, Harrison shared images of Ohio State freshman quarterback Luke Kienholz followed by one of former Buckeye and current Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud. He shared those photos during the recent Ohio State-Maryland game, when the Buckeyes were struggling to move the ball.
Fans seemed perplexed by Harrison Sr.’s actions with some wondering if this was a case of him taking a veiled shot at Ohio State’s starting quarterback Kyle McCord.
However, the plurality of Buckeyes fans seem to think that this is just someone making a mountain out of a molehill. Many have pointed out that McCord and Marvin Harrison Jr. have been good friends since high school and that the two are near-inseparable.
Guy just got his black stripe last week, he’s just giving him and CJ a shout out.
That’s literally it….

Find it hard to believe, being McCord and MHJ are best friends and have been for years

I mean he knows what a good QB looks like…

Looks more like he’s saying Lincoln has the same or similar skill set as Stroud.

The Ohio State offense has definitely been taking an unusually long time to really start humming this season. They’ve scored more points in the second half than the first half in both of their Big Ten games and their win over Notre Dame.
A win is a win, but sooner or later their slow starts are likely to bite them.
Do you think Marvin Harrison Sr. was taking a shot at Kyle McCord?
