The Indianapolis Colts (0-2) are once again underdogs entering a matchup but this time, it comes against a divisional counterpart in the form of the Tennessee Titans (1-1) in Week 3.
The matchup at Nissan Stadium will be a big one for both teams. The Colts are looking to avoid an 0-3 start, which would essentially sink their season and give the Titans an early advantage in the tiebreaker.
Here’s how the experts around the league feel about this divisional matchup:
Expert | Pick | Score (if applicable) |
Nate Davis (USA TODAY) | Titans | 27-13 |

Dave Richard (CBS Sports) | Titans | N/A |
Pete Prisco (CBS Sports) | Titans | 27-14 |
Mike Moraitis (Titans Wire) | ||
Albert Breer (Sports Illustrated) | Titans | N/A |
Bleacher Report | Titans | 28-21 |
Over at Tallysight, the Titans are favored in 95% of the picks as of this writing. Given the injury concerns surrounding the Colts between quarterback Carson Wentz and right tackle Braden Smith, it’s easy to see why the media is siding with the Titans.
It still isn’t clear if Wentz will play and who the quarterback will be if he does wind up missing the game. Regardless, it wouldn’t be good news for the offense if either Jacob Eason or Brett Hundley had to start the game.
The Titans, meanwhile, seem healthy and ready to go into this matchup looking to take a commanding lead in the division.
