Jonathan Taylor’s contract situation has the Colts scrambling for help at running back this week.
On Wednesday, the Colts tried out veteran running backs Kenyan Drake, Benny Snell and Devine Ozigbo. It’s possible one of them lands a contract in the coming days.
Drake, 29, spent the 2022 season with the Ravens. He had 482 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 109 carries.
Snell, meanwhile, had just 90 rushing yards and 17 receiving yards for the Steelers last season. His role was diminished once Najee Harris was drafted by Pittsburgh in 2021.
As for Ozigbo, he spent a few games on the Broncos in 2022.

Let’s be honest – the Colts’ running back situation is an absolute mess at the moment.
Not only is Taylor furious with owner Jim Irsay, backup running back Zack Moss is currently out due to a broken arm. He could miss about six weeks.
Until the Colts add another running back to their roster, they’ll have to lean on Deon Jackson and Evan Hull.
