INDIANAPOLIS – The Indianapolis Colts added a player to bolster special teams and provide some depth to the linebacker position.
Free agent linebacker Joe Bachie signed with the team. He formerly played for the Cincinnati Bengals (2021-2024), Philadelphia Eagles (2020) and New Orleans Saints (2020).
The Michigan State product made it to the NFL as an undrafted free agent, signing his first contract with the Saints in April 2020.

Bachie appeared in 51 career games with two starts. He tallied 37 tackles (23 solo), one pass defensed and 11 special teams stops.
The Bengals primarily employed him as a special teams player. He ended last season on injured reserve after suffering a groin injury.
The signing reunites him with Lou Anarumo, the former Bengals defensive coordinator hired by the Colts during the offseason.
