One of the better offensive lines in the NFL could be losing their left tackle, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
On Wednesday, the NFL insider revealed that Colts LT Eric Fisher is likely headed towards free agency after the two sides couldn’t come to terms on a deal.
“Pro-Bowl left tackle Eric Fisher is not expected to resign with the Colts despite the fact that the two sides have spent recent weeks trying to strike a new deal,” Schefter tweeted. Adding, “Fisher now is poised to hit free agency next week.”

The Colts brought the two-time Pro Bowler in this past offseason and he started 15 games for Indianapolis. After suffering an Achilles injury as a member of the Chiefs, Fisher bounced back pretty well in Indy.
While his pass protection took some time to sure up, the 31-year-old was strong in the run game.
A former No. 1 overall pick, Fisher is a solid left tackle and provided nice value on the Colts’ line after signing only a one-year, $8 million contract in 2021.

Given his ability to recover from an injury that usually does offensive linemen in; it’s fair to assume Fisher would be in line for a much bigger figure going forward.
By some predictions, insiders see the Super Bowl champ fetching up to $16 million annually on his next deal.
