INDIANAPOLIS – The Indianapolis Colts signed a pair of defensive backs to the practice squad this week.
The team added cornerback Keydrain Calligan and safety Darrick Forrest.
The Colts are in need of help in the secondary after Jaylon Jones suffered a hamstring injury that will likely keep him out for a few weeks. Charvarius Ward is in the concussion protocol, putting his status for Sunday’s game in doubt.

Calligan is an undrafted free agent rookie who initially signed with the Houston Texans before joining the Seattle Seahawks in training camp. He played collegiately at Southeastern Louisiana, Jackson State and Louisiana-Monroe.

Forrest was with the Washington Commanders from 2021 through 2024 after being selected in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He appeared in 40 games, including 17 starts, during his time with Washington.
He was most recently with the Buffalo Bills in training camp.
Forrest played collegiately at the University of Cincinnati, where Colts special teams coach Brian Mason held the same position for the Bearcats.
In corresponding moves, the team released center Mose Vavao and safety Trey Washington.
‘White Out’ at Lucas Oil Stadium
When the Colts host the Denver Broncos on Sunday, they’ll sport the all-white uniforms they typically wear during road games.
Fans are encouraged to follow suit by wearing white to the game to match the look and transform Lucas Oil Stadium into a “White Out.”
The first 50,000 fans in attendance will receive a white “For the Shoe” rally towel. A limited-time “White Out” collection will be available at the Colts Pro Shop.
The Colts will also pay tribute to the late Forrest Lucas, the founder of Lucas Oil Products. The company’s name has adorned the stadium since it opened in 2008.
Kickoff for Sunday’s game is set for 4:05 p.m.
