Amari Rodgers will stay in the AFC South to play for a different team this season.
The Indianapolis Colts signed the 23-year-old wide receiver on Wednesday. In a corresponding move, they waived wideout Johnny King.

Rodgers registered 1,020 receiving yards and seven touchdowns during his senior year at Clemson before the Green Bay Packers drafted him with the No. 85 pick in 2021. He caught just four of eight targets for 45 yards as a rookie but amasses 365 yards on kick and punt returns.
While Rodgers again secured half of his eight targets in 2022, special-team woes cost him a roster spot. Rodgers coughed up five fumbles — four on punt returns — before getting released in November.
He received a second chance with the Houston Texans, where Rodgers promptly garnered more offensive opportunities. The 5-foot-9 wideout tallied 60 scrimmage yards and a touchdown in his Texans debut and finished his six games in Houston with 154 receiving yards.
Rodgers joins a Colts receiving room lacking much depth behind Michael Pittman Jr. and Alec Pierce. He’ll compete with Josh Downs, Breshad Perriman, Isaiah McKenzie, and a handful of others for a roster spot and meaningful role.
The Colts cut King three months after signing the undrafted free agent.
