Colts' early over/under win total set for 2022

May 22, 2022 by Colts Wire

The Indianapolis Colts are coming off of a promising offseason of moves that may just vault them into the top of the AFC South.

There is a lot of work to be done and avoiding the dreaded slow start will be crucial to set the tone of the season. This is especially true when considering the fact that they open the season with seven consecutive games against AFC opponents, five of which are in-division games.

While much will change with betting odds over the next few months, Tipico Sportsbook already has the over/under set for the Colts in terms of their win total for the 2022 season.

Entering OTAs, the Colts’ total is set at 9.5 wins. Hitting the over (-135) is currently favored over going under (+110).

While the Colts are favored to win the AFC South right now, the Tennessee Titans have the same over/under at 9.5 wins. They are followed by the Jacksonville Jaguars (6.5) and Houston Texans (4.5).

In our game-by-game predictions (which are admittedly far too early), we predicted the Colts win 10 games in 2022. It will be a tough slate of opponents, especially the opening seven games, but the improvements made on both sides of the ball do warrant some optimism.

We’ll see how this bet feels when the season arrives, but the Colts have a chance to compete for a top-four seed in the AFC if things fall their way.
