Former second-round pick James Washington has found a new home.
On Friday, the Colts officially signed Washington. The talented wide receiver from Oklahoma State was released by the Saints earlier this week.
Washington started his NFL career with the Steelers. From 2018-2021, he hauled in 114 passes for 1,629 yards and 11 touchdowns.
In 2022, Washington signed a one-year contract with the Cowboys. Unfortunately, his stint in Dallas was derailed by a fractured foot in training camp.
Perhaps we’ll see Washington make an impact in Indianapolis. But first, he must beat out wide receivers like Mike Strachan and Breshad Perriman for a roster spot.
We have signed WR James Washington, placed DE Genard Avery on IR and waived-injured WR Malik Turner.

In addition to signing Washington this Friday, the Colts placed defensive end Genard Avery on the injured reserve list. Additionally, the front office waived wide receiver Malik Turner with an injury designation.
The Colts will be back in action tomorrow night for a preseason showdown with the Bears.
