INDIANAPOLIS – Several Colts – Baltimore and Indy editions – are among 162 players nominated for the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Class of 2025 as Seniors.
Senior candidates could have last appeared in a game in 2000.
Players who spent the bulk of their career, or just a year or two, with the Colts include cornerback Bobby Boyd, running back Alan Ameche, offensive linemen Chris Hinton, George Kunz and Bob Vogel, linebackers Mike Curtis and Cornelius Bennett, quarterback Earl Morrall and wide receiver Stanley Morgan.
Later this year, the Seniors Blue-Ribbon Committee will select three Seniors as Finalists for the Class of 2026.
Boyd piled up 57 interceptions in nine seasons, including at least seven five times. He recorded nine in back-to-back seasons (1964-65). His 57 interceptions are tied for 13th-most in NFL history.
Hinton was the 4th overall pick in 1983, who earned seven Pro Bowl selections – six in his seven seasons with the Colts, one with Atlanta – at three different positions. He was part of the trade with the Falcons that allowed the Colts to select Jeff George with the No. 1 overall pick in 1990.
