After trading Carson Wentz to the Commanders, the Indianapolis Colts are apparently leaving no stone unturned as they try to find a replacement. For Colin Cowherd, a recent quarterback rumor has him skeptical of how close the team is to winning a title.
Taking to Twitter on Sunday, Cowherd addressed the recent rumor that the Colts are interested in free agent QB Gardner Minshew. He immediately mocked the Colts for getting rid of Wentz.
“Colts reportedly interested in Gardner Minshew. But yea, much better place today,” Cowherd wrote.
Clearly Cowherd isn’t impressed by what the Colts have done with their QB room this offseason. He’ll no doubt lean into the Colts in the days and weeks to come until they get a new starter – and maybe even afterwards depending on who they go with.

Carson Wentz went 9-8 as the Colts’ starter this past year, posting some of the best numbers since his Pro Bowl season with the Eagles. But back-to-back losses in the final two weeks of the season cost the Colts a trip to the playoffs.
The Colts had traded a first-round pick to the Eagles in order to pry him out of Philadelphia. That move wound up being a one-year rental as they shipped him off to Washington last week.
For the fourth straight year, the Colts will head into a new season with a new projected Week 1 starter.
They have to get it right eventually if general manager Chris Ballard wants to keep his job.
