Indianapolis Colts quarterback Carson Wentz has reportedly made a decision on the plan for his injured foot.
Wentz, who was traded from the Philadelphia Eagles to the Indianapolis Colts this offseason, is currently dealing with a foot injury.
ESPN.com had more:
Wentz felt a “twinge in his foot” when he rolled out and planted to throw late in the practice, offensive coordinator Marcus Brady said Friday.
Wentz is still awaiting more information from testing and and the team hopes to have a better idea of how long the quarterback will be sidelined after foot specialist Robert Anderson reviews the scans, a source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Surgery is reportedly an option for Wentz. However, he will reportedly opt for rest for now.
“Carson Wentz plans to try to rest and rehab his foot injury over the next few days, source said, rather than have immediate surgery. If all goes well, Week 1 is in play. If it doesn’t improve, the answer may be surgery,” NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport reports.

Colts offensive coordinator Marcus Brady said earlier this weekend that the team was still attempting to figure out the plan for Wentz.
“He’s with the docs, trying to figure what out the process is,” Brady said. “Still evaluating what the next move is, how bad it is. Then we’ll go from there.”
The Colts will open the season on Sunday, Sept. 12 against the Seahawks.
