Trade rumors continue to swirl for Carson Wentz as we head deeper into the 2022 NFL offseason.
The Indianapolis Colts starting quarterback had a rough finish to the 2021 regular season, with his AFC South team missing out on the playoffs in devastating fashion.
Reports have surfaced this offseason, suggesting the Colts are considering moving on from their starting quarterback.
However, ESPN reports on Sunday that Wentz has made it clear he prefers to remain in Indianapolis.
“Wentz wants to stay in Indy, for what it’s worth, and he’s not bracing for a move to a new team as it stands,” ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported.
While trade rumors continue to swirl, Fowler added that “there is no momentum from the combine that a trade is in the works.”
ESPN NFL insider Chris Mortensen reported earlier this offseason that Wentz’s future in Indianapolis was “bleak.”
