Lines are from Caesars this week to celebrate the partnership between them and the Colts.
I don’t want to tell people not to gamble because I love to do it myself and truthfully, when it’s not (and it hasn’t been) financially feasible for me to do so, I haven’t placed a bet. If you’re underage or you’re the kind of person to get addicted to something easily, don’t gamble. It’s that simple.
In Week 1, we were 4-1 with a push.
In Week 2, we picked the winner of TNF and then went 3-2 (sort of a blown parlay with the injury to Tua given our picks, right?).
We are starting off hot picking 70% correctly ATS.
This week, after doing some math and some research on abstract concepts surrounding betting, I actually think we’re more likely to just get a handful of really appealing scenarios we hope play out on Sunday.
Here’s where I’m at.
Going against the title here, I’d consider taking the Panthers -8 on Thursday Night Football and think blowout because the Texans are without both Tyrod Taylor and DeShaun Watson, but what do I know?
I’m going to be a homer and pick the Colts +5.5 because there’s tradition and rivalry here. This tends to bring out the best and worst in everyone. Yes, I could absolutely see being wrong and the Colts get thrashed, but I feel a close game and a last second shot to win it.
I’ll take the Chargers +6.5 on the road against the Kansas City Chiefs. It’s exhausting playing against the Ravens and the Chargers hung tough against the Cowboys (my NFC East pick) in Week 2, losing on a last second field goal. They could absolutely get blown out.
The Green Bay Packers +3.5 on the road and the 49ers look ripe for the upset, too.
Here’s an example of a $100 bet on this 4-way parlay I’ve explained. I love the idea of getting paid 12x my bet back if I’m right about a handful of games. I think these are the four outcomes I’m most confident risking a wager on.
Additionally, you’ve probably noticed that there’s no more Afternoon Pancakes and instead, I’ve struck out on my own and have my own podcast called TheColtist, which is a solo podcast I record and upload to YouTube so you can see my ugly mug talk shop. Here’s this week’s episode. Please subscribe and share if you feel so inclined and mind my drowsiness. It’s been a long day.
Enjoy the games!
