Indianapolis Colts rookie Anthony Richardson is getting some first-team reps during this year’s training camp.
Camp started with veteran quarterback Gardner Minshew leading the first team, but Richardson has since worked his way into some time with the top unit.

The Colts took Richardson with their No. 4 overall pick in this year’s draft. He’s widely expected to start at some point during his rookie season, but it’s still uncertain when that time will come.
“I don’t have a timetable on that [announcing a starter], to be honest,” first-year head coach Shane Steichen said of this year’s quarterback battle. “I just want to see consistency and growth from that position. When you compete, it makes you better. When that time comes, I’ll know we’ll talk through it as a staff and we’ll go from there.”
Richardson will attempt to separate himself from Minshew and Sam Ehlinger before the Colts kickoff their regular-season schedule with a Week 1 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
