Tennesee Titans (4-2)
Score this Week: Won 34-31 vs. Bills
The Titans started their toughest stretch of the season with a massive win against the Buffalo Bills. They were led by Derrick “King” Henry, who carried the ball 20 times for 143 yards and 3 scores, putting the Titans’ offense on his back. The defense held off a 4th and inches quarterback sneak late in the 4th quarter to seal the game and for now, the Titans’ hold on the division remains firm.
Injury Report
First-round pick Caleb Farley was placed on IR with a torn ACL. Fellow cornerback Kristian Fulton was placed on IR and is expected to return in Week 9. Tackle Taylor Lewan is questionable with a head injury after a weird looking collision.
Looking Ahead: vs. Chiefs
Yet another tough matchup for the Titans as they go up against the Chiefs with a depleted secondary. Against Mahomes, that is not the greatest recipe for success. If the Chiefs get an early lead and force the game script away from Derrick Henry then the Titans could be in trouble.
Houston Texans (1-5)
Score this Week: Lost 3-31 @Colts
The game was close in the first half, as the Texans went into the locker room down just 3-10, but the Colts let Jonathan Taylor loose in the second half and he took over the game. On the bright side, rookie quarterback Davis Mills looks solid, and I liked what he was able to do with such a limited supporting cast around him. Edge rusher Jonathan Greenard, a 2020 3rd round pick, is starting to blossom. The Texans need all the young talent they can get.
Injury Report
Starting center Justin Britt is questionable for next Sunday with a knee injury. Quarterback Tyrod Taylor’s return is imminent.
Looking Ahead: @Cardinals
This one could get ugly, as the Texans will face one of the hottest teams in the NFL right now. This game will be worth watching as the Texans will be facing former franchise cornerstones J.J. Watt and DeAndre Hopkins.
Jacksonville Jaguars (1-5)
Score this Week: Won 23-20 vs. Dolphins
Finally! Trevor Lawrence got his first NFL win against an underwhelming Dolphins’ team whose season-long struggles continued. Lawrence looked solid and he took better care of the football. The Jaguars’ defense had a great game stopping the run and limiting big plays. The Jaguars also finally got some consistency from the kicker position.

No new injuries for the Jaguars coming back from London.

Great opportunity to rest and sort the Meyer issue out internally after their first win of the season.
