The pandemic is causing all sorts of issues within the NFL this season, especially this week. Four NFL teams reported a positive test on Thursday, just days before this weekend’s slate of games.
The San Francisco 49ers have been the talk of the NFL this week. Wide receiver Kendrick Bourne reportedly tested positive earlier this week, causing the Niners to isolate multiple players. San Francisco will be down several key starters against the Packers on Thursday Night Football. But it’s not just the 49ers dealing with positive tests.
Four other teams are having to maneuver its way to try and play games this weekend. The Bears, Chiefs, Colts and Texans each reported a positive test on Thursday. Of those positive tests, two are players and two are staffers.
Anytime positive tests are discovered this late in the week, it obviously puts certain games in jeopardy. The Bears, Chiefs, Colts and Texans will have to conduct thorough testing to ensure their games can be played this weekend.

This is what the NFL has to deal with this season. Teams forced to isolate players have no other choice than to move on and play with the players available.
Where things could get tricky is come playoff time. The playoffs could be severely impacted by any key players that test positive.
For now, all the NFL is trying to do is get through the regular season without any major hiccups or outbreaks.
