Who needs a ladder when you have a potential back-to-back Naismith Player of the Year at center?

After his dominating 40-point performance to help send the Boilermakers to the Final Four on Sunday, 7-foot-4 Purdue big man Zach Edey decided to just reach up when it was his turn to cut down a piece of the Little Caesars Arena net.

Fans got a kick out of the viral clip on social media:

“Werner Ladders can’t be happy about this,” a user said.

“Foul on the ladder. Edey shooting 2,” PFT Commenter replied.

“This is perfect,” laughed The Athletic’s Nicole Auerbach.

“Zach Edey doesn’t care about your ladder,” a fan warned.

“Absolute legend,” another commented.

“My Goat.”

Edey gave the Tennessee Volunteers 40 and 16 to go along with a block and a steal to punch Purdue’s ticket to Glendale, Arizona.

The Big Ten All-American did a ton of his damage from the line going 14-of-22 from the charity stripe. The Boilermakers will await the winner of NC State-Duke who tipped-off at 5:05 PM ET on CBS.

Edey and Purdue were easily one of the most-doubted No. 1 seeds coming into the tournament. But they’ve answered the bell at every call and are two wins away from bringing the school its first ever national championship.
