The redshirt-freshman enters the portal with all 4 years of eligibility remaining.
Just 4 days removed from Purdue’s Spring football game, redshirt-freshman running back, Christian Womack, has entered the transfer portal, via his Twitter (X) page. A product of Tomball High School in Tomball, Texas, Womack would have been fighting for positioning in the Purdue RB room with mainstay, Devin Mockobee, and transfer, Reggie Love III. Mockobee and Love III are assumed to be RB1 and RB2. Womack did not get in for any plays his freshman year, but he will maintain 4 years of eligibility in the portal. We wish him the best of luck.
Womack’s transfer leaves Purdue with very little experience at the backend of the RB room. The most experienced RB outside of Mockobee and Love III is Addai Lewellen, who has 2 career rushes for 5 yards. Redshirt-freshman, Elijah Jackson and freshman Jaheim Merriweather round out the running backs.
