The big man will seek to continue his career elsewhere.
According to Jeff Goodman from the Field of 68, Purdue has seen their second entrant into the transfer portal.
Purdue 7-foot-2 sophomore big man Will Berg will enter the transfer portal, his agency @weave told @thefieldof68.

As you can see, sophomore Will Berg has decided to enter the transfer portal and seek to continue his playing career elsewhere. This isn’t really a surprise as Berg saw his playing time diminish after initially being elevated into the starting lineup following the injury to Daniel Jacobsen. From there he saw less and less time and only saw action in 22 games this season. Berg averaged 6 minutes a game over the season and just under 2 points per game.
If Berg were to return he would face some pretty strong headwinds for increased playing time, barring a large jump in production, as he would again be battling with Trey Kaufman-Renn, Daniel Jacobsen, and Raleigh Burgess.
Berg becomes the second player from this Purdue roster to enter the transfer portal after Brian Waddell entered his name late last week. We wish both Will and Brian nothing but success in the future and thank them for their contribution to Purdue basketball.
