Purdue’s Braden Smith was the lone unanimous vote getter from the Associated Press, as it unveiled its 2025 Preseason All-America Team on Monday. Smith received all 57 possible votes from the AP and will lead the charge for the preseason No. 1 overall team at Purdue.
Joining Smith on the list is Texas Tech forward JT Toppin, Michigan forward Yaxel Lendeborg, BYU forward AJ Dybantsa and Florida center Alex Condon.
Toppin is coming off a breakout season at Texas Tech where he was named a consensus second-team All-American and the 2025 Big 12 Player of the Year. He is entering his third season in college and second at Texas Tech, after spending his freshman season at New Mexico.
Lendeborg – a transfer from UAB, is set to be a big part of a Michigan program with high aspirations in Dusty May’s second season in Ann Arbor. He was named to the first-team All-AAC twice at UAB and was named the AAC Defensive Player of the Year twice as well. In two seasons with the Blazers, he averaged 15.8 points and 11 rebounds per game.
Dybantsa is coming into the season as one of the projected top-two picks in next year’s NBA Draft, alongside Kansas’ Darryn Peterson. Dybansta – a freshman from Brockton, Massachusetts, is widely-regarded as the top freshman in the country.
Condon was one of the biggest stock risers in the country last season, becoming one of the most crucial parts of Florida’s national championship-winning team. Condon is set to take part in one of the best front courts in America this season, alongside Thomas Haugh and Rueben Chinyelu.
