Camden Heide?
Camden just received his 4th Crystal Ball Prediction on 247 Sports and all four have him as a Purdue lean.
Heide, who is ranked 68th in the nation for the 2022 class by 247 Sports is out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. He has plenty of other offers out there, as expected, including from Minnesota, Iowa, Arizona, Creighton, Texas, Ohio State and Wisconsin.
Heide projects as a 2 or 3 in the college game, though, in high school he has handled the ball quite a bit. At 6-5, 185 pounds, he could potentially play the 1, 2 or 3, I just personally see him on the wing rather than as a a lead guard.
Heide does a great job of getting to the middle of the defense, then making a play with the pass or making a tough shot around the rim. He also shoots the ball well and get put the ball on the floor.
If we are looking to compare him to a current Boilermaker, I would say his game resembles a lot of what Brandon Newman does for us on the offensive side of the ball.
I am hoping the Crystal Ball is correct and Heide does choose to become a Boilermaker. He would give us 3 top 115 players.
