The Boilermakers begin their quest for a Big Ten Tournament title.
You can argue whether the Big Ten Tournament matters or now. I know it hasn’t been around for that long in the grand scheme of things, but to me it matters. It’s a chance to win a trophy, to hang a banner, to etch your team into history. These guys want that. They didn’t get the Three-Pete I’m sure they so desperately wanted and now it’s time to show the conference and the country the kind of team they really are.
Purdue starts their run to the Big Ten Tournament Championship with a game against USC. For those that went to bed early last night, USC took down Rutgers in double OT 97-89. Playing your opponent on less than 24 hours rest after a double overtime game seems like it has to be a good thing right? Especially if this is the 14 seeded USC Trojans. Purdue handled USC earlier in the season though USC was without their leading scorer at the time.
