Purdue lost Max Klare due to (among other things) NIL. Would the House settlement have kept him in Old Gold and Black?
It’s that time of week folks. We’ve got survey results hot off the presses for this week. As a reminder, this week I asked about the House settlement as well as a new prediction for Purdue football’s win loss record for 2025. Let’s start with the House settlement first.

Maybe I’m more optimistic than most, but I think this House settlement can change a lot of things about college sports for the better. It sets a salary cap for revenue sharing and, if implemented correctly, could lead to regulations for NIL. Plus, I’ve long held the belief that college athletes are employees and should be treated as such and I hope this is a step in that direction. Seems I’m in the minority in this though.

A plurality, so close to a majority, of respondents think that Purdue will finish the season 4-8 which honestly would be a huge improvement from the dregs that was last season. 14% have Purdue either on the cusp of bowl eligibility or else bowl eligible. Let’s hope the 14% is right!
