Results are in!
Reader survey results are in and it’s time to share! I wouldn’t keep all these fun results to myself, that would be downright selfish of me. There are two questions this week, one focused on football and one on basketball. Let’s get into football first shall we?
Many sportsbooks have the O/U win total for Purdue football set at 3. Not 2.5. Not 3.5. 3. It’s a devious total because I think most people believe 3 wins is the most likely scenario (but given the transfer portal and new coaching staff who honestly knows?) for this season. So, after the staff weighed in earlier this week, I wanted to see what you all thought.

I took away your ability to answer that it would be a push with Purdue landing on exactly three wins and I think that helped get a much better idea of what expectations are heading into this season. An astonishing 71% of readers took the over and think Purdue will win at least 4 games leaving just 29% (quick math!) taking the under. Let’s hope that 71% is right! It would sure make things a lot more fun around these parts come football season.
Next, with the FIBA U19 completed I wanted to see how those games, and Omer Mayer’s star turn, impacted expectations for the young man.

59% of respondents thought that Mayer would be a starter at some point during the season either Day 1 or by earning it down the line. The percentages on this one must’ve been rounded up a bit as they total 101% but hey, that’s the amount of effort Mayer is going to give each and every game this season!
