This was a surprising move to Purdue fans

In a surprising move to Purdue fans, the Boilermaker football program and Director of Player Personnel, Eron Hodges, have parted ways. This news was first reported by Football Scoop and is now confirmed by Gold and Black.

Hodges joined the Purdue football program in 2018 after being Ohio State’s assistant director of player personnel for the Buckeyes. After two seasons in West Lafayette, Purdue is now moving on and will look for new candidates for the position.

Purdue had their highest rated recruiting class in over 10 years in Hodges’ first season with Purdue thanks in part to Hodges along with head coach Jeff Brohm. It will be interesting to see how this impacts the coaching staff and locker room as Eron was a huge part in recruiting over the past couple of years.

He helped bring names such as David Bell, George Karlaftis, Yanni Karlaftis, Rondale Moore, Maliq Carr, Michael Alaimo and many others to the Black and Gold.

One thing is for certain, Eron Hodges seemed to truly care for the individuals he was recruiting and was a proud Boilermaker. All of Boilermaker nation wishes him the best on his next journey.
