Now the hard work begins.
After going undrafted in this year’s NFL Draft, former Purdue Safety Cam Allen has inked a free agent deal to begin his NFL dreams.

The Virginia native will be heading out west to suit up for the Denver Broncos. The newest Bronco finished his Purdue career with 13 career interceptions and grabbed three in his final season. He leaves Purdue with 157 tackles. Plus, let’s not forget he did score one touchdown during his career which I know always means a lot to the fellas on the defensive side of the ball.
We also received more news about the deal with the Broncos from Broncos reported Mike Klis.

Always nice to have a signing bonus. Teams are given a pool of $183,103 for undrafted free agents. Coming in as an undrafted free agent is always a tough spot for NFL guys as there are only so many roster spots available and you’re competing not just against the established locker room but with those guys who the team you’re signing with deemed to be worth a precious draft pick. It’s certainly not unheard of for undrafted guys to make an impact but it is a tough road.
However, Cam Allen was very successful in his time at Purdue showing dedication and hard work throughout his five seasons. This is just the latest hurdle for him to overcome. Now, the hard work can truly began. Good luck Mr. Allen, we are all rooting for you.
