Coming off a redshirt should pay dividends for the young man.
Ryan and I are back with the podcast and we continue to churn out the content for you. This week we are looking at redshirt freshman Jack Benter who will be seeing his first action for the Boilermakers this season. Convincing a guy who won the state finals and was runner up for Indiana Mr. Basketball is an amazing feat from Matt Painter and his staff. I know that TKR also was runner-up for Indiana Mr. Basketball so the fact that Painter and staff have done this twice in such a short span is pretty amazing to me.
Benter is listed at 6’5” and 210 pounds so he’s a bit taller than Fletcher Loyer and about 20+ pounds heavier (if you trust official website measurements). That should give the redshirt freshman guard decent bulk and length for the college game. There’s a lot to talk about with this young man and Ryan and I are excited to get into it.
