Chatard has produced a ton of great players over time.
One of the all-time great programs in the state of Indiana is Bishop Chatard in Indianapolis with their state record 15 state championships. Today’s player is a walk-on that helped them win their 14th.
Andrew Sowinski – Fr. (RS)
Indianapolis, IN (Chatard HS)
6’, 180 pounds
Wide Receiver
2021 Projection: Reserve
Sowinski was a redshirt last year, but he was an absolute star at Chatard. According to the state finals program he had 63 receptions for 1,032 yards and 22 touchdowns heading into the championship game, which are HUGE numbers in a high school offense. He only had one catch for 23 yards in the championship, but Chatard won easily 34-3 over Heritage Hills for their 14th championship. That was enough to get him a preferred walk-on spot and he reportedly has 4.5 speed.
Sowinski’s speed could be his best way to the field at a position hat is very deep for Purdue.
