Great news folks: Purdue football is back this month! We are just 29 days from kickoff against Ball State and today we focus on TD Williams. Not to be confused with T.C. Williams, the school from Remember the Titans, TD is a former JUCO and FCS DB, playing 1 season at Hinds CC followed by 3 seasons at Central Arkansas. Due to the new NCAA eligibility rules for former JUCO players, Williams was granted one more year of play and he will use it to become a Boilermaker under Barry Odom. Williams joins a DB room packed with transfers, but few have as many games under their belts than TD’s 33. In his 3 seasons at Central Arkansas, TD started 30 games and collected 78 tackles, 23 pass break ups, and 4 interceptions. Although he is coming from an FCS program, experience alone may get Williams on the field as a rotational CB. For what it’s worth, all positions on this Purdue squad appear to be up in the air, so we look forward to the next 29 days as Barry Odom and company figure it out.
