Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NCAA. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Notre Dame fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.

Preseason camp is right around the corner, and the Irish have a quarterback competition that’s currently put on hold. The spring campaign in the battle to be Notre Dame’s starting quarterback in 2025 ended with Steve Angeli entering the transfer portal, leaving Kenny Minchey and CJ Carr on the field to fight it out.

The thing is… I’m not sure how much it matters on the field. Notre Dame played in the national championship game last year after three massive wins in the college football playoff, and return many of the players that got them there. To be honest, I’m fairly confident in both Carr and Minchey — but this isn’t about me.

This is about you and your confidence in Notre Dame’s ability to make another deep run in the college football playoff. Even though my confidence in both quarterbacks to succeed this year is fairly high, your confidence may not be so equitable.

Or maybe it is? Take the survey and let’s figure this out together.
