College football just started and we already have a candidate for one of the funniest blunders of the season.
During the first quarter of the Navy-Notre Dame game, the Midshipmen tried to convert a fourth down attempt at the Fighting Irish’s 37-yard line.
Unfortunately for the Midshipmen, this attempt ended with two of their players colliding as they tried to catch a pass from Tai Lavatai.
Notre Dame’s defense caught a huge break on this play. If Navy’s players didn’t collide, it would’ve been a first down inside the 20-yard line.

The Fighting Irish wasted no time making the Midshipmen pay, pulling off a seven-play, 63-yard touchdown drive that was capped off with a Jadarian Price rushing touchdown.
Notre Dame currently has a 14-0 lead over Navy. Marcus Freeman’s squad opened the scoring with a short rushing touchdown from Audric Estime.
This game between Navy and Notre Dame is being televised on NBC.
