One is NOT a punter which is a hard diss
The Athletic’s Bruce Feldman released his annual “Top 100 College Football Freaks” list on Monday, and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish landed a respectable three players in the top 75.
#3 Kyle Hamilton — Safety
New defensive coordinator Marcus Freeman inherits quite a chess piece in the 6-4, 219-pound junior, who in his first two seasons in South Bend has 104 tackles, 5.5 TFLs, five interceptions and 17 passes defensed.
#45 Isaiah Foskey — Defensive End
In his second season for the Irish, Foskey stepped up to notch 4.5 sacks and five TFLs. The 6-5, 257-pound Californian has terrific speed and length.
#75 Chris Tyree — Running Back
One of the fastest players in college football, the 5-9, 188-pounder averaged almost 7 yards per carry as a freshman and ran for 496 yards and four touchdowns in a loaded backfield led by Kyren Williams.
it’s a solid showing for the Irish, and given the nature of the list, it’s hard for me to argue about who is and who isn’t ranked here. I will say that I was disappointed Cam Jurgens from the Nebraska Cornhuskers was in over Jarrett Patterson — but if we’re talking pure weight room numbers it’s fine.
Meet the biggest Freak in college football. He’s 6-7, 350 and he can do stuff that blows ppl’s minds inside the Alabama program>Nick Saban’s coached a lot of elite talent so when he begins with this you know that player is special “Evan is very unique…” https://t.co/f1cp1fNg1n
