There had been rumors for some time that Notre Dame was going to reup with Under Armour. The Irish are Under Armour’s most prominent college client on a list that also includes Wisconsin, Maryland, Auburn, Utah, South Carolina and Texas Tech.
The company, which was founded by former University of Maryland football player Kevin Plank, has downsized its portfolio at the collegiate level in recent years, but clearly continues to prioritize the Fighting Irish.
Prior to signing with Under Armour in 2014, Notre Dame had been outfitted by Adidas. Champion also created uniforms for several Fighting Irish programs in the 1990s.
Notre Dame’s current Under Armour contract will expire in June 2024.
