Notre Dame is hosting USC tomorrow for one of the biggest games of the weekend. But some inclement weather in the city of South Bend, Indiana has the school pleading with fans.
In a post on X, the Experience Notre Dame account alerted fans that with inclement weather in the forecast, they should securely fasten any tents they plan on bringing for tailgates. Fans are encouraged to not leave their tents unattended and ensure that they’re disassembled and stored safely before entering the stadium for the game.
“GAMEDAY ALERT: Due to forecasted weather on tomorrow, the University has asked guests in the tailgating lots to exercise safety by adequately securing tents. Tents should not be left unattended. We encourage fans to disassemble and store tents prior to entering the stadium,” Experience Notre Dame said in a post.
The weather on Saturday calls for about a 90-percent chance of rain in South Bend with 17 mph winds and temperature in the low-50s. While not exactly a hurricane it’s not exactly ideal football weather either.

Notre Dame are 2.5-point favorites against the visiting, undefeated USC Trojans.Â
While the weather will likely have a big impact on the tailgating in South Bend, it remains to be seen how it will impact the game itself. Both teams have strong passing games and defenses that are susceptible to big plays.
The game will be played at 7:30 pm ET and will air on NBC.
