After losing their No. 2 passer from last year to the Alabama Crimson Tide, Notre Dame have now lost their No. 2 rusher from last year to the transfer portal.
On Thursday, Notre Dame running back Logan Diggs took to Twitter and announced that he is entering the transfer portal. He thanked the school and the team for their support but believes that the time is right to move on.
“This has been the hardest decision of my life, but I know with faith and belief all things are possible. I have decided to enter my name into the transfer portal. Thank you ND,” Diggs wrote.
Diggs was one of Notre Dame’s top offensive players in 2022. He led the team in carries and finished second behind Austin Estime in yards and touchdowns. His 211 receiving yards were fifth on the team.

Notre Dame went 9-4 in their first year under head coach Marcus Freeman. After an 0-2 start they won eight of their next nine games and beat three ranked teams in the process – including fifth-ranked Clemson.
But the Fighting Irish are going to have a lot of inexperience on their roster next season due to all of the transfers. Mere hours ago they lost backup quarterback Tyler Buchner to Alabama.
Will Notre Dame overcome these recent player losses and win 10 games next season?
